Its convenience and speed transformed the industry, raising sales prices and eliminating questionable practices, but it also required the gentle education of apprehensive non-technical buyers. The ads, as well as other educational materials (posters, tutorials), offered both strong reasons for why to participate as well as the resources necessary to join.
